Import/Export of Abalone shell pens

Does anyone have information on the US regulations for importing and exporting Abalone pens?
As best I can tell, there could CITES regulations at the minimum, and US Wildlife and Fisheries laws as well.

Anyone know of where I can find resources on this topic?

There is a CITES website that spells out pretty much all the regs and all items listed on the treaty. A Google search can direct you to it.
