Hey Guys, This is Bella, our 9 year old Boston Terrier. She didnt eat the other day so we took her in to the vet...Test and Diagnosis...Back the next day bcz she wasnt any better, Further test revealed a very low red blood cell count and a different diagnosis. Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). Nasty Anemia Stuff, read about it, it is pretty common in dogs and cats. anyhow she was worse and worse and today the vet suggested a blood transfusion. She is now at the emergency vet in critical care, receiving a blood transfusion, and will be there for the next 18 hours, assuming all goes well. THis is our little girl, im sure everyone loves their dog, but she is the best dog anyone could ask for, and has been a part of our lives for a long time. We really need her to pull through. I know the IAP is a pretty praying community, so we ask that you pray with us tonight for Bella. If you arent a praying person, just keep her in your mind, we need all the help we can get. Thank You guys from the bottom of our hearts.

Justin and Christin Baker

I hope all goes well. I/m trying to reach my keyboard over my cat who is attached to my lap whenever I'm sitting down. I understand your emotions - they are family!

I'm not a praying person but, I have a heart and I know how dogs can touch us deeply so, I wish Bella a successful recovery and that she can continue to be the best dog you could ask for, for a long, long time from now...!

Cheers
George

My prayers are with you Justin and Christin! We have Daisy, our Boxer, and can't even think of her being ill especially with a serious illness! Our prayers are with you and Bella!!! She is such a cutie and we can totally understand how much of a part of your lives she is to both of you!!! Hopefully, she will be well and totally recovered in no time and continue to be a major part of your lives!

So after 24 hours, Bella is holding steady on her red blood cell counts, and is ready to go home! We are on the way to get her right now! I'm sure she is going to need some special care and check ups in the future but we are incredibly stoked that she is coming home! Thanks for all the support!! It means a lot to us!!

I was wondering all day how things went. And I am again reaching over my "parked" buddy to type! But... I won't complain - at my age and looks unconditional" love is either rare or expensive. (sometimes both)... I get it every day for free!

Prayer was made for Bella. It was close to my heart. My black and white Boston Terrior is going on 16 years. We have had her for 15 years. Her name is Penny. Cataracts in both eyes, can barely hear, cancer growth in her mouth (cut out twice) and thin as a rail. Still eats good and can run like a spotted ape when she wants to. I think time is catching up to her. She is like one of our five daughters. We will love her to the very end.

Glad to hear Bella is doing better after the transfusion.

Justin and Christin, my thoughts and prayers with you and Bella's Vet's.
She obviously is very precious, and I am sure she is grateful for all your love, affection and support given by you both.
Brian.
