One of Linda's favorite pens is a Pelikan 400 from the early 1950s. It is a sharp little pen that size wise works well for men or women. The first image is my first pen body off of the metal lathe. Lots of work to get a better fit, but things are coming along. The other two photos are of my pen with Linda's Pelikan for comparison.

Yeah the cap is not done yet. Waiting on some solid brass rod for the clip finial. Other than that the cap is black ebonite. Had a heck of a time keeping thing centered as the whole thing was turned without using the live center for support. That is the nice thing about the metal lathe, you are not putting very much side pressure when you are shaving it down to size.

Mike, That looks very nice! Looking forward to seeing the cap. Did you use the metal lathe? Regards, Doc
