Been a rough day for this horse, he is retired and won't be running at Belmont, it's too bad, I really thought we had another triple crown candidate. I guess that's what happens when you cheap out and only pay $35k for a horse.

I believe the story "swollen tendon". But, in reality, he retires to stud as "undefeated" in his run for the triple crown. Pretty smart.

Big bucks to stud. Much more than if he had been beaten in the Belmont.

Im not sure if could of won the Belmont, but it's a loss for all the fans. He was looking at an extra 11 million if he would of won The Belmont. Doug O'Neill is a class act and I respect him for not running the horse. The last thing horse racing needs is another Eight Belles tragedy.
