I'm trying to understand why two vendors here have repeatedly ignored emails from me. A single email getting missed I can understand but when several go unanswered it has me stumped. To the best of my knowledge I have done nothing to offend them but still I get no response to my messages. Maybe they'll see this post and let me in on the secret!

I know how you feel. Don't rule out....guilt by association

I can maybe understand one not replying, but not two on both PM's and e-mails, just not good business.

I've tried the PM route also. Still no response.

Michael

Michael, send me a PM and let me know who it is please. I'll see what I can do.

We encourage "good business practices" from our vendors, and responding to customers certainly falls within that.

Michael, I know what you mean. I have emailed here and the websites with no replies.

Michael,
If I may suggest an option;
post in casual conversation with a title of "paging so-and so"
I have done this in the past and it usually works for the "unreachables"!
Even if they don't see it...their friends might, and let them know.

And I keep trying to figure out why one of my customers keeps emailing me but when I respond it just gets kicked back to me as undeliverable. Email systems are strange sometimes.

I also have had this problem? I PM and emailed no response. I paid for the product via paypal and havent received it yet. Cannot get a response. Maybe they went on vacation.

I can relate to that..

Got one last night a pm....I replied and it said "can't deliver because of full mail box or words to that effect". I also get emails occasionally that get kicked back as undeliverable. Vendor's are people, they have family emergencies, illnesses, vacations, unexpected guests and all the other interruptions that everyone else has and now and then something falls through the cracks.

Johnny... Johnny...Johnny.... You actually mean that a person who doesn't monitor his email or monitor his PM's is apt to monitor the casual conversation forum daily to see if he has any pages!:eek::eek::biggrin:

To heck with all that, I think if I sent emails and PM's that went unanswered I would be looking for another vendor in short order! And if they owed me something and weren't responding, a note to the mods would be in order ASUMMING that I made sure my email program was working AND my PM box wasn't full.

Thanks for the input from everyone. I don't usually complain publicly but I guess I needed to vent some of my frustration. I have gotten it off my chest and will deal with this as I see appropriate.

I would not ignore emails, but sometimes the hotmail will toss you into the junk folder automatically. You can say it's my fault, but I don't check the junk folder too often, so then I'd be guilty without even knowing it. A far more common problem than people think..spam filters are not perfect.

I do most of my own spam filtering and sometimes I'm a little too quick on the delete trigger and an email that I want winds up in the deleted folder.

I think that we rely too much on email and texting to communicate. I have found that no response often means that the email or text was never received. The internet is often not reliable and the other person has no idea that you are trying to reach them and then mistaken conclusions are reached. I still think that using the telephone and snail mail are more reliable forms of communication and I am a computer literate geek.
