I just received a huge BOB (Box of Blanks) from Brian Geffre (@geffre )

Tremendous variety of blanks! It will take me a while to look through all of them. Many I have never tried before. I have cut down my share of Buckthorn, but never thought about using some to make pens. Now I will.

Also a very cool old oak wagon spoke - will make a very cool pen, with an amazing story.

Made a couple of buckthorn pens a year ago. surprised how easily it turned and polished very nicely. Heartwood is a good orange-yellow color very much like osage orange.
