This was my first segmented, first coke can, and modelled after a PRS guitar. The guitar has a yellow dyed curly maple front and mahogany back.

Nice Pen, I see lots of people using pop cans. If your looking for aluminum, check your local newpaper printing office. Mine sells aluminum sheet (guessing 18x30) for .50 cents each. Its as thick as a pop can and already flat. Cuts nice with scissors too.

Good craftsmanship, David. I DO like the stripe on the upper barrel. Not being a guitar aficionado, I don't know what a PRS guitar is. Would you enlighten me?

I wanted to shape the cap close to the guitar body but had a revelation on why someone gave me my bandsaw when I cut the yellow and lost most of the material getting it flat again [B)]
