I dug some of these out of the shed today. I think they're almost ripe. It' perssimon, I guess it's also splated and filled with bug poop. What do you think?

I think you've got two great blanks, are they still firm or have they gotten punky? If they will turn with out stabilization, WOW if they aren't too soft, just keep putting thin CA on then turn a little put on some more CA and turn and repeat. They look beautiful, I hope you nail it with them.
 
They just might be a prime candidate for one of Curtis' new cactus juice boxes. They would be fine filled with some Alumalite and turned.

I tried to dig a thumb nail into the orange part and only made a small dent. If the rest of the pickup load looks like this I'll be a happy boy. I cut off one end about 15" long and 6" dia. and it was like this all the way through. I'm going to try some tomorrow.
