Hi Everybody!

I was doing some work on an article a week or two ago, and these two pens fell off the lathe. Colored Curly Maple on a chrome Streamlined Slimline from Berea. I was playing with Prismacolor markers - I wish they were more saturated! CA/BLO finish.

Scott.

More saturated????? Those look pretty good to me. What kind of lathe do you have? I have to get one of those so I can just stand there and watch the pens fall off.[:D]

No, no, no! Remember, I'm doing the UGLY Pen contest! [:D]

This design is kind of fun! Using the Streamlined Slimline with the fatter center-section makes the pen heftier to begin with. Then using the good-old "hourglass" shape makes them even heftier! They end up being only a little smaller than a cigar, and yet still have that "sexy" shape!

Thanks Trav, and Gerry!

Scott.

Hey Scott, when my pens fall off the lathe, usually they aren't in any shape to show off. Nice job on those. Color sure brings out the curly aspect. Thanks for showing.
