That's really beautiful! The blank must have taken as much skill as the pen. It seems like it would be tough to get the pieces so tightly together. Is the paua glued on the tubes before casting?

Nice work Peter. I have done a couple of these type pens and they are truely time consuming in the respect that you need to try to find the right pieces to shape the barrel. Not an easy thing to do. I think next time I am going to use the smallest size of those. Also I tried taking a photo and just could not get it to really show off the colors well. Was going to try outdoors but never got around to it. You did a great job with yours and the photo is real nice. Thanks for showing.
