I am trying to repair part of a carving set and I need an antler for the handle. This is what I'm attempting to match, at least similar. Tried my local sources, even taxidermy shops without any luck. Does someone have a source please?

That looks a lot darker than any of the Deer antler I have. Plus it would be outrageous shipping that to CA. Does your client happen to know what the antler is from? Also, as Gimp suggests, full dimensions would be helpful. In the picture it looks to be an inch at the one end and 3/4" at the other end..

To contribute to the thread; I apply a solution of potassium permanganate to the ends to darken them, but I'm not sure how dark you can make them.

It's about 4 inches long by approximately 3/4 inch wide
