I've retired. They say you know when it's time, and I knew it was time. July 11, 1983 to July 11, 2025. 42 years of interesting and challenging work, great coworkers, and memories to last forever. Looking forward to getting busy on building my new shop, regaining some physical fitness, and most of all spending time with the family. I hope to be around the forum more, and finally get around to making some site improvements. I know many of you are retired, and I'm glad to finally be joining the club!

Congrats on retirement. September, 2009, took me three days to acclimate- Saturday, Sunday, Monday. A caveat here- You will wonder when you had time to work. AMHIK

Jeff congratulations and welcome to the club. I put in 43 years of service and knew it was time also. In construction this is a young person sport. I am paying now for all those years. Have to tell you though you will be scratching your head asking yourself what to do first. Enjoy retirement.

Congrats Jeff. Today my wife and I celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary, I hope you've enjoyed your 42 years as much as I've enjoyed my 44. Only thing is, I have no desire to retire from my July 11 activity!

I figured you'd stick around until we landed on Mars! Congrats, Jeff - glad you're able to take a well-deserved break...or at least, a break from paid work!

Now stop rubbing it in for those of us who have significantly more than a handful of years left until it's our turn! :)

The list is the responsibility of wives. AMHIK

Congratulations, Jeff! I intend to do the same myself in the next 6 or 7 months, I feel it's time, and there are so many things I'd like to do.

Congratulations. I haven't worked as hard in all my work years as I have in retirement.
Well, maybe one summer job when I dug footers for a condo being built on the beach.
Enjoy your next adventure.

42 years anywhere is an accomplishment, but where you worked?! That is a serious achievement. I hope retirement suits you well.

whatever you do DONT TELL SWMBO yet! You want at least some time to enjoy your hobbies first !

Enjoy it, you've earned it
