Not intentionally. This was a mulberry bowl. Apparently it had a flaw I did not see. I'll check tomorrow to see if there is enough left for a small platter or dish.

I had a similar thing happen a few years ago. Instead of burning it I decided to make a sculpture showing the pieces in flight...Lemonade 1.
