there are no pictures so they don't exist. and you thought i only learned pen making tips around here.

so i haven't turned any pens since my christmas orders due to ridiculous cold weather, and all the other things having a family does to you. but i got out last night to make three sample pens for a potential huge order. a slimline, a cigar and a baron. all in maple with a wax finish, and if they existed they would have turned out amazing. i would be really impressed with the fit and finish on these, and would remember why i love turning maple so much.

just thought i'd share what might or might not have happened. but i will say it got my itching to make some more pens, possibly.

Have you been sniffing the CA again? On These so called maple pens you didnt make? Oh Yeah that s right Wax finish,,,,

Those will be very nice pen's. If I may, I think you finish will look even better with a few coats of WTF before the wax. I really like the grain of the maple.

Well say there. The pens I would have made are not to be seen either. The antique brass bolt actions, the piano ivory and ebony fountain pen, Civil War memorial pens all are not done. We moved from Lake Arrowhead, Calif. to Dickinson, Texas and are living in a motor home while looking for a real home. The weather has been cold and wet. The equipment is in a tight storage area. So there you have it. Imagine what I could have posted had we stayed in Lake Arrowhead. That being said, we moved to be closer to the kids and grand kids and they have been a real joy. It was and is worth it.

OK.. I shouldn't have looked... Too late!

Marc - I suspect you made the "Chem" Blanks? If yes... Can I bribe you to make some more (PM me if this is OK). My wife is a PhD. Polymer Chemist and loves to tease her co-workers with ridiculously over the top stupid Bling pens... This would be soft and subtle and Oh so cool!!!

Oh, the pens are way nice! If they are there...
