to start the ball rolling on my retirement. My retirement date is May 31 with my last actual working day being May 26.
I'll be retiring from M D Anderson hospital after 27 years there, a total of 33 years being on the state payroll.

You think you're busy now -- wait until you've been retired for a couple of weeks -- you'll wonder how you managed to fit work in!

Congratulations!
Doug

Congratulations Mannie. My last day was this past Thursday after 47 years of church related vocations. It's a new phase of life so enjoy!

I retired 10 years ago and found myself working so much I went back to work. Retired again and now find myself again working long hours welcome to the abyss.

Congratulations Mannie and best wishes. Try and not forget to get some fishing in between the 'occasional' 'honey-do'.

Hey Manney

Congrat's on your pending retirement! Just celebrated my 10th year of retirement on 4/2/. Welcome to the ranks of retirees. Work 32 years with Detriot Edison! Say by the way I was not aware of your Business (new to IAP), glad Lenny said something about it. I will be buying my CA from you in the future

Mannie! I am so happy for you! The closer I get to my own retirement, the happier I am when I hear that my friends are able to retire! My date is 3/1/13, which will be after about 32 years of work in state or local government. Congratulations!

Scott.

The first time I "retired" it wasn't so cool. I was 55 and I guess still restless. I just couldn't get into doing all the things I had planned. So I got a fun parttime job, and didn't "retire" again until about 5 months ago. I'm 67 now and enjoying it. I hope you enjoy yours.

Congrats Mannie! Pretty soon you'll find yourself busier than when you were working!

Congrats Mannie, I am not far behind you, I need one more yr to make the pension worth while, I did apply for my CPP last month. WoHoooo.

Lin.

Congratulations Mannie. I too have my last day on May 26th after 34.978 years of service with the City - close enough to get a full, unreduced pension and old age pension. I guess one has to develop a new lifestyle.
