As some of you know I have been unemployed since last June. Well during this time I have spent the time thinking, planning and as of today began to implement my business plan.

It is official, I am going into business for myself. I will be Maine's first independent EmbroidMe Franchise Owner. I just completed signing the documents today and I am looking to be open for business optimistically in June.

In case you are not familiar with EmbroidMe, it is a embroidery and personalization apparel company.

I will still be turning pens, but my focus will be shifting slightly to this business.

Wish you the best of luck in your new (ad)venture, Dan!

Already looking forward to the grand opening PARTY!!!:smile::biggrin:

I can see it all now.....

A free pen with a 100 shirt order. Or would that be, a free shirt with a 100 pen order?

Good luck to you and please fill us in as to how its going. We all love a success story. And maybe local pen turning clubs would like some hats too.

Thanks for all the support guys! Like I said I will be plenty busy, but once things get going I am sure you will see an ad for the business.

To give you all an idea on how quick things are moving, I was in Florida last Friday to meet with the CEO, Pres, VP, ya know all the big dogs. I was back home LATE Saturday night, then yesterday I signed the docs.

In the next month I have to meet with lawyers, accountants, the regional VP of the company to get the site location and those arrangements done. Work on materials they provided me, and get ready for training in May. Busy busy. I love it!

My son works for Embroidme here in The Woodlands, TX. He is an expert at it. Got any questions...let me know.
