Most of you people are amazing!
Where do the ideas come from? I see pens here that, to me, are beyond works of art. Pheasant feathers? Postage stamps? The Little Big Horn?
I have turned a couple pens over the years but nothing even close to what I see here.
Keep it up! I love to see your ideas "come to life" and I enjoy reading how you did it.
Maybe in my next life I will have a little imagination and creativity.

If you have the time and can find it........check out the BASH history. (I don't see it right this minute.) You will find pens from some of the contests that will make your tongue hang out for hours.
Even looking at some of the pens from the youth contests make me wonder what I am doing wrong.

I will add my welcome too.

As far as your comment on pens seen here, that is only the tip of the iceberg. There are some extraordinary pens that get buried in the confines of the site but when you run across them they have that WOW factor and you do remember them.

Having a creative mind, we all have one. Just need to look around and take cues from others. As pen turners we become sort of a weird bunch in that we look at ordinary everyday items and we start thinking can I cast this or that. How would that piece of dirty old drift wood look on a pen??? It becomes second nature.

Welcome to the world where thing go round and round.

Welcome Roy! Yes, there are a lot of nice pens being made by these talented members here. I expect you will join the ranks before you know it. Maybe we'll see you at a meeting?
