Say I offered to make a pen for an NFL player. Can I put a team decal on and not get in trouble (copyright issues), if it is a gift?

I have made pens for both Green Bay and New Orleans players and have neve had a problem as long as I don't sell them. Jim S

I should add. If they insist on giving you a signed ball or jersy, that is considered to be a trade or barter and not a sale. Jim S
