Hybrid mini cone box

Hello folks

I cast this blank a few days ago and turned the box today. Its part of a larger order which is being sent to America very soon.

60mm wide by 75mm tall

Some of the mini-pine cones look like those little crawlies you see in old books :wink::biggrin:

It's amazing how shiny you have it finished.

I want to learn boxes next.Any recommendations out there for a good book on how to make them?

Thanks for the tip,I saw that CSUSA has the book/dvd combo expected back in stock on the 22nd,I'll order that,then.

It would be a dream come true to be able to get a seat at his workshop that he is putting on next May,at the San Diego Woodturners club. It's a 2 or maybe even 3 days seminar.Wish I could go!

I hope I can learn how to make a box half as nice as yours someday!
