I've been wanting to make a humidor for the longest time, but I've been worried about the hinges........finally bought the quadrant hinges from Brusso and the template for routing. The box is made of Gonco Alves and a Paduk top with Wenge edging and accents in the top. The primary box is finished in spray lacquer - in and out. It is all lined with non-finished Spanish Cedar, and the trays are built from Spanish Cedar as well. it measures 9 inches wide, 14 inches long, and 7.5 inches high. It holds 100 cigars - or close to it.

Best,
Roger Garrett

The cigars are remaining at exactly 65% humidity - had a Vegas Gold in a maduro wrap today - fantastic!

Keith - the box is quite easy. It's the darn hinges that take so long to get right. But after careful tinkering for an hour or so, it paid off. I say - go for it!
