Hi,

I just joined from Massachusetts, US

I do a little wood working, love fountains pens and decided I might want to try making them.

So I am here.

I have been reading the great articles under resources, but I have a lot more to learn about how to get started before I actually do.
For starters I need to figure out what lathe to invest in. I don't think that will be all that easy though as there seem to be a lot of options out there. I will certainly be reading posts about people's experiences with various tools though.

I was wondering who else might be here from Massachusetts, or maybe New Hampshire or Vermont who might be looking for a mentoree.

Looking forward to having some here.

Thanks in advance.

(I attached a picture of a pen stand I made recently)

Welcome aboard. Fountain pens are a rabbit hole unto themselves.
There is a fairly new podcast for pen makers.
Episodes 3,5,7 and 9 are focused on tooling and pen making. They also have some great interviews with actual pen makers.
