Welcome to IAP. The library is full of both ideas and info. Take a year or two and turn you way through all of the articles in the library.:biggrin::biggrin: Have fun.
Do a good turn daily!

Welcome from another Hoosier. What part of Indiana are you from? The Indianapolis Chapter is having a meeting on the 13th of this month. If you go to the local chapters forum then Indianapolis you can find a little more info about it.

Welcome from a newbie! You will find more information and resources here than anywhere on the planet.

Couple of rules:

1) If you don't have pictures it didn't happen
2) Ask, ask, and ask
3) Turn on centers and buy them from Johnnycnc (Johnny, the checks in the mail, right?)

Welcome! I'm looking forward to seeing some of your work.

Below are links to two threads/articles that have lots of information on pen turning. The first one is a very basic overview of the many aspects of getting into turning pens.
http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=42446

The second link has postings by different pen turners and what they wish they had known earlier:

Here is another link - a PDF on the acronyms used here. I am sure you know many but this will help with those you don't.
