Howdy from the Heart of Dixie

Hello from Alabama. Been lurking around for the last few weeks and finally decided I should at least say howdy. I'm Dan and I am a weekend woodworker and I've just got into turning. Got my first lathe a couple months ago and have not stopped spinning yet. Never knew I could have so much fun. Turned a few pens with varying degrees of success. Still a lot to learn, but that's half the fun.I will post a few pics shortly in the "Show Your Pens" thread and get some feedback from the fine turners found here.
