Welcome to the forum Glyn! So are you new to turning? Is this your first pen? Resin blanks can be a little challenging to start off with. Your pen looks pretty good! I like a nice shine to resin myself. I usually will micro mesh them all the way to 12000. Gives and awesome finish to resin.

Hiya, it's the Jr Gent rollerball kit. There is a mk2 version out now which is a little curvier. I picked up the pine cone whilst on a family day out then cast it back at my workshop.

I've been turning for a couple of years now and love having a go at new things. I started playing with resin about a year or so ago. I sanded to 400 then used the fine Yorkshire grit and then a little acrylic polish to bring it up.

If I'm honest it isn't my first pen but certainly the most recent I've made. I've been turning for a couple of years now.
