How to preserve rainbow Poplar colors?

One...is there any way to preserve the colors of rainbow poplar?

and

Two...how faded does rainbow poplar get when it's exposed to the sun?

I have a rainbow poplar bowl I made years ago that still has all its color. I don't think it fades.

I've made several box call turkey calls out of rainbow poplar that typically get finished with rattle can spray acrylic. They get exposed to all kinds of elements and after several years the color really hasn't changed
