How to finish ebonite?

I want to make an ebonite pen with some silver rings in it. What should the finish of this pen be to prevent the silver from turning black?

I don't think there's much you can do to prevent Silver from tarnishing except Using the Argentium alloy and keeping it waxed. Thankfully, tarnish comes off pretty easily with a jewelers cloth.
