I tried milling some green olivewood before but have to abandon it because my saw blade is gumming up very fast. What can I do to avoid or atleast reduce the gumming up?

Thanks!

Paste wax and a small brass wire brush. I always clean my resaw blade with the wire brush before I take it off the bandsaw and then wipe it down with paste wax. I also will keep a dry piece of wood (1" x 1/4" x12") to rub on the side of the blade while the saw is running and use as a push stick and to clear saw dust and cutting off the table.

Dario,

Sounds like you might want to get another blade too. A Skiptooth maybe. Especially when resawing damp or oily woods.

Thankg guys...I'll try the wax first, then Pam, then maybe let Pam do the milling too LOL [}:)]

Fangar, I am using Timberwolf 3tpi which is the one they recommended for green wood resaw for my bandsaw.
