I'm thinking of doing some slimline PR blanks that are Drilled/tubed(painted tubes)/Trimmed and turned round, how much should I charge???Help!I charge about $4 for the blanks in the first place what would the market bear on these? These are aimed at the new turners that are intimidated by the Acrylic blanks. Thanks for all the input,Victor

I am a newbie and my first pens were acrylic ... they are much easier to finish then wood. From a newbies point of view I wouldn't want to spend much on my first group of blanks which you may mess up. That said I don't know how much of a premium you could charge for these additional steps?

depends... how are you going to put the tubes in them?

If you are going to drill and glue in the tubes, I'd charge more than if I were casting with the tubes in place (resin saver molds, etc.)

Not to steal the thread but I've often wondered about getting some molds specifically for Slims. It seams like such a waste to turn a 3/4"in blank down to a slim, but I really like doing slims.

Victor, if your prices were reasonable enough, I'd be a buyer. you wouldn't even need to round/drill them.

I was targeting a turner that has been turning for a while and maybe scared to turn anything other then wood.I'm drilling and gluing tubes(painted tubes to color match)not casting over then(yet that is). Thanks for the feedback,Victor
