So we have become a society that just hates to walk any more. How many of you will be buying these for Christmas?? I am betting the next invention will actually be a pair of shoes that can do this. No stealing my invention or at least if you do can you give me a royalty??

From what I see you have to be a bit more coordinated to use these. Need to be able to use both feet and balance at the same time.

The son of a friend of mine is home from school for winter break and had one of these with him. He rides it all over campus from class to class then tosses it on his back and goes to class. I just had to give it a spin around the block. Took a few minutes to get the hang of it but the thing is a blast and moves surprisingly quick. It's also a great workout for your core, takes a lot of body balance. I don't think he appreciated me bringing it back totally out of juice. One of these contraptions is on my list after the winter. Hopefully the price will drop a little by then.

I saw one also except when the mother & son walked away to let it cool down, and got a few feet away the battery blew up. The burns they got and showed were quite memorable as well- 2nd to near 3rd degree burns on hands and arms. My wifes g-son wanted one for christmas - it's on the very distant back burner now and fading further back each day.
