So we have become a society that just hates to walk any more. How many of you will be buying these for Christmas?? I am betting the next invention will actually be a pair of shoes that can do this. No stealing my invention or at least if you do can you give me a royalty??

Next door neighbor kid has one. Its really cool how he just rides up and down the street on it. Might need one myself.

Our Service Manager tried one out over the Holiday. Almost didn't come home as he lasted only two seconds. Messed up his neck, back and a severe concussion. Remember to try it out in a padded room.

Ouch. There may be some lawsuits knowing the way society is today.

I'm waiting until they start including a set of crutches with them. I never mastered my kids' skate boards so I can't see anything good coming from these for me. Maybe if they made a sit down version ... hmmmmmm

The son of a friend of mine is home from school for winter break and had one of these with him. He rides it all over campus from class to class then tosses it on his back and goes to class. I just had to give it a spin around the block. Took a few minutes to get the hang of it but the thing is a blast and moves surprisingly quick. It's also a great workout for your core, takes a lot of body balance. I don't think he appreciated me bringing it back totally out of juice. One of these contraptions is on my list after the winter. Hopefully the price will drop a little by then.

I saw a news clip today that showed these thing burning up from over heated.

I saw one also except when the mother & son walked away to let it cool down, and got a few feet away the battery blew up. The burns they got and showed were quite memorable as well- 2nd to near 3rd degree burns on hands and arms. My wifes g-son wanted one for christmas - it's on the very distant back burner now and fading further back each day.

I wonder how many of these things are going to be Christmas presents in December, dust collectors in January and listed on eBay in February? Kind of like treadmills ~!
