Not sure I would be brave enough to use a hammer to put one together. Do any of you use this water method when gluing your tubes in?

I started out using water for the actavator for the CA , but was told that the reg. activator was a lot faster. I used it on both wood and Corian

It looks like he is gluing his tubes in using polyurethane glue (gorilla glue, etc.). Moisture activates the glue.

that was acivator not water.
You would use water if you are using gorila glue, since that's what will activate the synthetic glues like gorila, but in this case he used CA glue that rewuires activator.

Listen again. "Using a few drops of water..."
He's using a poly glue.
I glued up 20 pens yesterday. With a porous wood and a slight gap I used Gorilla glue just because it expands. With M3 and oily woods I used epoxy.
Personal choice.
