Hate mind too!!!!!

That is why i am building a new one. My present one is two small and clutered with other things that just get in the way. Just wanted to see what others have to get ideas on my new shops setup. I am thinking of a area for turning and cutting. A section just for kit building an area for PR work.

I am just about finished redoing out two car garage. I pulled most of my stuff out awhile ago when we put the house on the market. Well, the house didn't sell, but I was able to epoxy the floors and paint the walls. I don't have pics yet, but here is a drawing of the layout I did.

All the power tools are on mobile stands, except the jointer, which I need to build one for.....

Funny this should be posted today. I have spent the last couple of weeks sketching out plans to re-do my garage shop. I have about a 17' wall along one side of my garage and I'm going to build a two-height bench along the entire length to handle most of my tools. My biggest problem is handling the dust. My garage is unfinished (no sheetrock or insulation) and there is dirt/dust everywhere.

Before I started turning pens, I had a hand tool wall, flat-work table saw/band saw/jointer center, dust collector/drum sander wall and a turning wall. Now I just have a turning wall and a bunch of expensive storage surfaces for blanks, kits, and other pen-stopper related items.

My shop is also small and still in the process of being organized. The one thing I would do if I had the space is have a separate room for finishing. No dust on projects and no overspray on tools. I would also recommend a mobile table to keep stuff near on hand but out of your way when working.
