If you answering a thread and make a mistake by quoting a wrong person, how do you delete that? I can not seem to find the right buttons to click on. Thanks.

John; I'm not sure you can delete a post. But you can Edit the post for 30 minutes (?) after posting. Just remove the post contents and put in OOPS. I have done this.

How about just an "Oops Post" crediting the correct person to quote? Most of us make mistakes at some point--no shame in just 'fessing up. I can't speak for others, but i'll still respect your body of work and your knowledge!!
(shoot, i had to edit to sign my name...)

Hi JT,

I do as maxwell_smart007 indicated. I click on the little "Report" link at the bottom of my post and then for the "Reason" I ask the Admin or Moderator to either make a minor correction for me or to simply delete the post because .......

They are pretty understanding if one misses the time allowed for Editing.

Regards,
Dave
