Bought a small table top lathe from Rockler a few years ago and the belt needs to be replaced. I can't figure out how to do this without disassembling the drive assembly. Can I use a link belt?

Dazed and confused...

If it is a standard belt w/ no special ribs and what not you should. That is what I did on my old lathe. I used a link from HF and it worked great and my lathe actually ran more smoothly w/ it.

well it is actually a v notch belt. I'm afraid to disassemble the drive assembly, for fear I won't get it EXACTLY back as it was, then everything could be off centered...

You're awesome, Tony. That's exactly what I needed. My owner's manual told me very little about it. The grizzly manual confirms what I suspected but didn't want to try until I was more certain.

Thanks for the help.
