I would have loved to attended Mid Atlantic show (esp. to meet the fine IAP folks), but didn't want to make the drive. I was thinking if there would be enough interest to host a "conference in the North Georgia/Atlanta area. If there is, I would ask Peachtree, Rockler and/or Woodcraft to host. They are all within 30 minutes of each other. Peachtree and Woodcraft are less than 5 miles from each other. All of the stores are very well laid-out. Maybe in the early Spring or late Fall (not to interfere with the mid Atlantic event). What do you think? Maybe a Saturday at one and a Sunday morning at another?

If you host it, they will come - and from far and wide. The first one is the hardest. Good luck and let me know if we can help in any way.

The lack of responses doesn't look too promising for you Tony. I've been involved with MPG since it started in Illinois, and as far as I can tell, none of them are easy. You don't get much response to posts, you don't get a lot of volunteers, and you just go ahead and do it. All of a sudden, 75-100 people show up and everyone helps. Funny how it works, but it sure costs the organizer some sleepless nights.

That's ok. I was only up to securing the locations. My schedule doesn't allow for anything more. I would just really like to meet more of the folks. It's all good :-).

I would attend. I went to Virgina a few years back and it was great. Wonderful people, met some of our venders. Saw Ed turn a pen in 30 seconds. It was amazing. Bought some cool stuff. Learned a lot. It was a very long drive from Florida.

Well..maybeI will send out a poll, and see who may be interested (then reduce that number by 2/3rds), If we can net 50 to 75 folks, I will approach the three shops in the metro Atlanta area. We'll see. I am going to be in Sunrise, FL for a few days next week, but I never get a chance to leave the office/hotel.
