Houston's under water again

To all our Houston buddies... is every one okay? Saw on the news today that the drought has broken and Houston was getting 2 or 3 inches of rain an hour... show parts that looked like downtown flooded - again.

Reminiscent of Allison a few years back... I wound up spending about 20 hours in a funeral home parking lot because the street was about 3 ft deep in water. When my nephew finally got to me, I waded out in knee deep water to his truck.

rain was over yesterday, now just kinda sunny and cool outside.

I had to drive across town for a meeting during the worst of it.

would have been nice if most of the rain had been about 50 miles north so it would have filled our lakes a bit more.

Only had about 3" here in Pearland. The ones that were hardest hit had over 4"-5" and were in lower areas close to the bayous. And of course 288 under 610 floods after any good size rain anyway.

BTW - TS Allison dropped around 20" of rain...yesterday's little drizzle is nothing in comparison.
