Very nice! I really like honey locust. It takes burn lines nicely and shines up nicely

Very nice. I haven't turned many hollow forms but the ones I have I have turned to final thickness immediately. Doesn't matter if the wood is dry or green. They tend not to warp much or crack.

Lovely form and the wood just completes it.
HOWEVER - don't think Acacia and Honey Locust are the same tree. At least not around here. When I refer to Acacia, I think of the tree in the African savanna and Honey Locust is a predominantly ornamental in our "neck of the woods" (pun intended). I think their heartwoods both have similar coloring but are a different family entirely.

Acacia and the Honey and Black locust trees are in the same large family of trees.
I have some Black Locust burl and roughed bowls from a long time ago. It is nice looking wood. Look forward to seeing the finished vase in the fall.

Yes sorry I got it mixed up with Black Locust which is also know False Acacia.
