Haven't posted in a good ling while, but the thread on honey dippers reminded me of this little gem I made for my mother. I used a cute jar she had that I think held olives or peppers (I've seen them in the "international" foods section in grocery stores), turned a stopper-fit lid and added a removable dipper where I threaded the ends.
It's meant to be used by holding the lid, which protects your hand from drips. The dipper can be unscrewed for cleaning. Walnut oil and wax finish.
Second project is a pizza cutter (kit from CSUSA) with a curly redwood handle. I believe I used WOP for the finish.
'Scuse the photo quality. Had to make do with incandescent and flash at the time.
