Hole In Blank Is Too Small

Help. I have a few pre-drilled pen blanks that I want to increase from 3/8" dia to 27/64" dia. Do I just put it back on the lathe pen chuck and use a 27/64" dia bit and redrill?

Yes. If you did not turn down, there is no problem. This is done all the time.

I suggest that you insert a 3/8 drill into the hole with the lathe turned off and then put the drill into the tailstock and then tighten the blank into the chuck
That will make sure the blank is properly centred for the 27/64 drill
