Hlep with wood ID

[Band Saw Box]

I found some scrap wood in my shop, just two small pieces that I think are big enough for a slimline. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is for sure and I'm hoping someone can help me with an ID. Thanks for the help.

Definitely ZEBRAWOOD. If you have some larger pieces try cutting them at a 45 degree angle. Results in a more dynamic pattern than the straight cut shown in your pictures.

and when you drill it, if it smells like the back end of a zebra (not that any of us other than a zoo worker would know) it's definitely zebrawood.:biggrin:

Thanks for the help. I was thinking it was zebrawood but I wasn't sure. I guess I'll try to use it for a slimline.
