Just here to introduce myself! My Name is Jolie, born & raised in Texas with the exception of living several years in Alaska & several years in Colorado while growing up. I've always loved making things with wood, building several things, making useful stuff etc, always wanted to try making a pen. I worked 25 yrs in the Healthcare field @ one of the local hospitals here in town, taking care of patients has always been one of my passions.. August 1 was my last day at my work "home", I had to quit after being there since I was 19yrs old, due to some health issues. I basically grew up there. And it's been an adjustment. So to help with that, this last November I got me a cheap 10x18 Harbor Freight lathe, and down the rabbit hole I went, I'm hooked! I made several for gifts for my family, then I made a few extras for friends, then I learned about segmenting a little, and found yet another rabbit hole. 
I love designing different ways to segment different mediums, so I'm hoping to make a few friends, learn tips & tricks along my pen making journey. Yesterday I completed my first foundation pen, I have to say I was a bit intimated. But I pushed thru like I do everything else and I'm happy with it.
