Hi, I'm new to penturning and have only made 5 pens (borrowing my stepfathers lathe and tools)since starting in January, but I'm hooked already! My new lathe arrives on Monday so I'm looking forward to 'getting stuck in' as we say here.

I'll post my next creation when it's finished and I'm sure I'll probably be coming back for advice sooner or later!

Welcome Martin! You will find the IAP site to be full of useful information. Be sure and check out the library section it has many valuable articles and tutorials on pen turning.
We also look forward to seeing some of your work in the SOYP section.

I see you are near Warwick Castle? I had the opportunity to visit many years ago. Also met a lot of nice folks in the UK. Cheers. :D
