After retiring from law enforcement after 33 years, I thought I would try turning pens. I have experience in. Building furniture and cabinets but wood turning has always intrigued me. So here I am. Hoping to learn from all you contributions to this site.

Mike, Welcome from MS. Quite a few here that were in flat wood work and moved over to pens. The experience helps but there are differences. For one, all the knotty ugly pieces of wood that we threw away making furniture and cabinets are the very pieces that make the most interesting pens! 😁

Join in the fun and ask questions when needed! We have plenty of answers and a few of them are sometimes right!

Last time I saw California was in Dec 82 when out processing from USAF at Travis AFB…

i lived in lompoc for several years. it was always fun watching the rocket launches.

i grew up in santa barbara. the town directly around the base was much bigger back in 82.
