What "big one" are you referring to? They stopped selling the Foster's brand name over here a long time ago. I can't remember if it's Carlton Draught or Victoria Bitter.

Ah. From my understanding there weren't that many US soldiers posted that far south, so most likely it was XXXX or maybe West End. There was quite a rich history of brewing here.

Welcome from Montana (not a lot of pen turners here). Australia has always intrigued me, maybe a visit is in the future. My Dad spent a lot of time in Perth during WWII and was stationed on a Submarine. I've heard a lot of stories about Australia (probably most false). Glad to have you aboard!!
