Hi
My name is Mike I am 61 and I live in Chicago but spend my summers in Weyauwega, WI on the Wolf river.
I am on disability and on 12/20/2016 I had my left knee replaced been in a lot of pain but I am getting better.
I have never turned anything and just bought my first lathe with the help of my son we bought a delta 46-460 for many reasons . I also decided to go with a carbide tip rougher because i don't have a grinder to sharpen a non carbide rougher. I still have to save up for this and some pen kits but my birthday is in May and my 3 kids said they will get me some.
2 very nice IAP members were nice enough to send me some blanks KenV and southernclay a very big shout out to them. can't wait to get down to thew basement to set the lathe up

Welcome Mike, from Sydney Australia.
I had my Right Knee replaced on 10/17/2016, I am still getting some Pain.
I have great difficulty finding that "Sweet Spot" in bed of a night, where the Leg is Happy, and I can drop off to Sleep.
But I am moving well, and the New Knee is a lot more Secure than the Old One.
Regards,
Brian.
