Hi All,

Greetings from a fountain pen lover from India.

I got direction to this site from http://www.fountainpennetwork.com.

I would like to learn fountain pen making, esp kit-less pens. But I have no previous experience in wood turning and don't know any thing about lathes.
So started reading/watching the tutorials from this great site. Hope all this info. would help me to make fountain pens as my own.

Also, I wonder is there any other member from India, who could possibly suggest/help me buying a lathe.

I thank you all for providing me so much information about pen turning through this wonderful site.

Check out the Advanced penmaking section and read through all the threads. That should get you pointed in the right direction. Maybe you could go and sit in on some of the fine ebonite pen craftsmen you have in your country. They do things a little different than we do but still end up with similar results.

Now I am trying to find and meet a pen maker in India, who could help me showing his production methods. But I understand there a few of them.

BTW, I am just curious, what our pen makers do differently than their counterparts in other countries. Could you please elaborate a little bit ?

I don't think it's not just a coincidence, i visit this page exactly after 12 years of my first post, that was for introducing myself and asking help from the wonderful guys from this great forum.

For the past few months i have been learning the art of pen making, with the help of my master and the great pen communities like FPN and IAP. Yes, it took a long time to achieve my long desire of making a fountain pen myself.
