Hi Folks,
I saw this blade sharpener in the sales flyer. At the time it was about $35 or $39, much better price than what it is on the website right now. I know that it is Harbor Freight / Chicigo Electric, but I'm wondering if anyone has used one of these. If you have, is it worth the $40 if I can catch it on sale?

The guy that did sharpen my blades is now retired. The next closest sharpener is about 35 minutes or so away if the traffic is good. I think it was $15-$17 per blade to sharpen a blade (60 tooth) If I have him sharpen 3 blades, that is the cost of the sharpening tool.

Is it fairly easy to learn to sharpen a TS blade? Would this be a decent buy?

Thanks for your thoughts on the subject

I know you said that getting someone to sharpen your blades was difficult, but, whats the value of your blade? is that these machines are more likely to do more damage than good... Damage 1 of the carbide teeth, or grind one too much, and the blade is ruined.

Just my opinion (often worth the value you paid for it [:p])

I don't know anything about that sharpener but i think you could make it work, but i think you would need a stifener just shy of the teeth to keep it from viberating. It would be fun to play with and you might even get good at it.
