HF Transfer punches on sale soon

Hi all, I was in HF today getting some things to help organize the heap of pen stuff that I have been collecting. As I exited I picked up a flyer for their upcoming "Dollar Days Sale" which runs July 14th to July 24th. Page 2 shows stock #3577 28 piece transfer punch set regular $9.99 on sale for $6.00 a savings of 39%. I haven't looked the add over too much yet to see if there is anything else worthwhile. But I will be getting a set of the punches. You Betcha!

Lately i have seen them at busybee in Canada for $8.88

Pardon my newbie question, but are those what I use to disassemble pens? and second question if yes, does this set have all the sizes I would need?

In short ----Yes and Yes. I have used them several times (I'm still learning too [])I have not needed as size they was not in the set.

I might get another set and canivalize it to make my own pin chucks [].

Love HF, just wish they were closer.. hour and half drive north or south depending on whether go to Chattanooga or Knoxville.

FYI... there is a seller that has a price on these that are close to the HF sale price with a buy it now.. $5.90 buy it now, $11.09 shipping and he has 92 sets..[]

Edit: H/F shipping is less than I remember, under $14.99 is $6.99 so they are about the same price..

I say wait for the sale, and then it will only cost $12.99 shipped.

Thanks for the help, I can't really get to HF without buying a plane ticket... but luckily I can order through their website [8D]

Just ordered me a set (no sale, but it is still pretty cheap) and some other stuff, had to keep under $50 to avoid paying custom tax. Will probably arrive in over a month to me [B)]

You will like them, and don't forget they are very usefull for their intended purpose too!

In case you are not sure what these are made for, they are made to slip into a hole and transfer the center point to the material below. This is what I used to perfectly line up the holes in the lift blocks I built for my lathe.
