HF Mini Wood Lathe $80 With Coupon

I bought a HF Mini (8" X 12") lathe today for $80. This lathe is on sale this month for $99.99 and with a 20% discount coupon which is in their mailer it is a great buy.

I bought this lathe to ship to the Philippines. The shipping cost is $65.00. Now I will have my General International Mini Pen Lathe and the HF for larger work.

I took it out of its original box and made a few modifications now its not considered a new lathe and I will not have to pay duty on it.

This is a good little lathe to learn on and take on trips. I hope this information will help someone looking for a variable speed starter lathe.

Man, I wish that was MT2, not MT1... If it fit my accessories, I'd be at that in a moment for a low cost 2nd lathe!

I own one of them lathe and I really like it. It's been really good for me.

That's the lathe I use.

It's not as nice as some of the more powerful units, but for the money I spent I have no complaints. I bought the service plan with it, and had to take back the first one because it started having problems. The second one has worked out better, and if anything does go wrong with it during the service period, I know it's covered.

Before getting this lathe, I used a drill press to turn pens, and that got old fast.

I've heard of people modifying this lathe. Do you mind telling what mods you did to it?
