If you go to HF right now with one of their 20% coupons (Wood magazine has one almost every issue) and the unit currently being on sale for $190 the reduced price would be $152 (only $2 more than the ITC price) without paying the $30 ITC membership fee.

And on the other hand the if you sign up new for the
ITC package includes another $10.00 off, ether way it's not a bad buy.
I have one of HFDC and it's hard to beat as far as bang for the buck.....

With the savings you can upgrade to 1 micron bag wich is not a bad thing with a 2hp collector.

Maybe I have a different one, but mine is also a HF with 2 HP motor and only 110 power. Great machine... only problem I ever had was the switch on the motor fried, I thought it was the motor, called HF and complained... they sent a new motor... then discovered it was the switch... :redface:

If you do purchase that one, be sure and find some upgrade bags. Five microns will do more harm than good if the unit is in the shop with you.

Wynn conversion info: http://www.wynnenv.com/9e300bl_conversion.htm Wynn does make a larger canister than this article discuss. It is larger in diameter and is a bit shorter in height. Price?? If I had to do it over again I would definitely get the larger diameter one. You can call Wynn and they will help you out a great deal.
You need to make the conversion ASAP from the filter bag to a canister filter.

I have the HF DC and applied the Bill Pentz mods and built a modified Thein separator. I posted 2 pdfs on moding an HF DC with a modified Phil Thein separator. The difference in the separator is in the lid, I brought the inlet in the can side instead of on top of the baffle. This gives, in my opinion, more time and space for the debris to settle in the can before being sucked out the outlet and into the filter system. The links are for the HF DC;

I use the Wynn Environmental filter. It gets down to about 0.3 Microns. That takes care of most of the really harmful dust. What ever you do, the HF bags must be changed. Go to the Wynn site and spend the other few bucks and make the mods. Your lungs and family will thank you many times over.
